Is it alright if I make up my 5 a day fruit and veg by having 2 apples and 3 bananas a day? I eat alot of bananas for energy as I go to the gym every night after work. I know I should try for more variety though.

Apples can have an adverse affect on your teeth as they are very acidic.
You are not getting much vitamin A or K which are found mainly in vegetables.
Two portions of veg as well would be excellent.

err... you do realise you are actually only having 2 of your 5 a day, it doesnt work like that. A sidesalad will fill out one. How about a mango, straberries and raspberries with some natural frozen yoghurt as a smoothie in the am. Then if you have veg in the evening its a bonus. I have about 9 portions of fruit and veg each day.
Seriously I do. I have a fruit smoothie for breakfast which always has 5 in. For lunch I have a green salad and a couple of tomatoes. In the evening I generally have some steamed veg. My other half doesnt eat 2 portions, he eats a lot of meat and he stinks. i have shiney hair and pretty good skin and I know its cause I get my minerals naturally.
