I have high BP. I own a little machine that takes my BP readings. Just now, the first reading was 157/71, the second was 150/68 and the third 139/66 which I am delighted with! But how can three readings differ so much? I am relaxed in my own home, no pressure.

I don't think the three readings ARE so different, they look much the same to me.

But 157 is so much higher than 139 surely?
As a systolic BP.....no........no big deal.
If it was the diastolic (lower number) then i would agree.
Mohne, I am also checking blood pressure, can you explain why morning readings are much higher than evening readings?
\\\ Blood pressure usually reaches a high at
6 am and a low between 2 and 4 a.m. Small peaks and valleys occur every one to two hours
throughout the day. For this reason, health care providers measure blood pressure at random
times on multiple occasions before diagnosing HYPERTENSION.

Why?.......I have no idea.
Thank you.
