I have been on the pill since I was 14 years old (now 28) with the exception of a month here and there throughout the years.

When I finished my packet last month I decided to stay off indefinetely, but as a rsult of always having when I have my period dictated to my, I'm not too clued up on the natural cycle.

Over the weekend I could feel the swelling and bloating that comes with getting a period, so knew it was on its way and last night when I went to the loo before heading for bed, there was 1 tiny spot. Today it's a normal period, rather than just a spot.

So, for the benefit of me recording in my diary when I started this month, do I put it in as last night or today since it started "properly" today?

Just because I was on the pill at 14 doesn't mean I was sleeping with anyone LOL

I went on because my period were really heavy and painful, doc told my mum the pill would be the best way to go because I was coming up to exam time and it would interfere.

I was sat down and well warned I'd be in serious trouble with mum and dad if I slept with anyone hahahaha

I would put todays date in the diary
I would say today but I'm not an expert!!! :o)
Sorry. It wasn't meant in a nasty way anyway.Still glad to hear that you were only on the pill because of the pain though.

Thats strange {Dakota} cos I was the same as you and I had to get my GP to write a note saying why he had put me on the 'birth' pill (mum still says that to this day).I was mortified when she read it.I agree with the others I would go by today - although I didnt think you would go back into a normal period right away.Suppose it depends on the pill you were on - I thought it would be light for at least the first month.Times have changed tho - cos I cant remember the last time I was on the pill - I've been spayed - LOLI

Ah but there will come a time when your daughter will want to stop taking a contraceptive completely when she's settled with someone she wants to have babes with!

So you can have your giggles then!

OH no - dont say that - shes just out of nappies (well in my eyes) LOL
the first day is the first full day of bleeding. Therefore meaning Monday, not the Sunday night.
