attacking cats

I have 3 cats and the yongest a 1 y/o neutured male keeps attacking the others especially the spade female, it is play fighting but she doesnt appreciate it and i dont appreciate everything getting knocked over, being kept awake a night and the mound of cat fur the is left behind - does anyone know how i can stop tis or why he does it ?

i have a male cat that does the same to the females and he has always done it. my mam is an animal nurse and she and her friends say that he is jealous and feels a bit depressed. so try giving him plenty of attention and try to always say hello to him first to prevent him from becoming jealous. also you may not always see who starts the fights as at times it may be the female as she is aggrevated. hope this helps you.
