I saw a large display of mince pies, all in their festive boxes, in sainswotsits today!
It seems crazy to me. Is this about the time they usually appear ?

You can purchase them year round but seems a tad early for the festive box really.
We've had em in Co-op since mid September. Folk moan (a lot the moaning gits!) but they don't half buy 'em quick, the display stand they're on constantly needs refilling!
As Mamya says, they're now available all year round in many supermarkets. (Asda certainly sell them continuously; I'm one of their biggest customers for them!).

Most stores seem to have switched to the Christmas packaging a few weeks ago.

Buying them and moaning about them, seems a bit odd ??

Just a few days after Christmas, Easter Eggs will be on the shelves. I remember when I worked in retail, they were stacked in the warehouse before the Christmas holiday
Say aye to a pie. :)
birthay cake ?? lol ;o)
When I were a lass - we went to the bakers shop on Good Friday and bought Hot Cross Buns which were still warm. Delicious. They were only available on G/F.
I love a mince pie or two. Just finished off a box.
When I was a kid the only shops open on GF were fishmongers.
