I think our teams should ignore Fifas poppy ban and go ahead and wear them with pride. How dare Fifa interfere with our traditional day of respect for our War Dead. It' is nothing whatsoever to do with Politics or any other ridiculous suggestion.Ignore the order .
we risk point(s) deduction if we ignore the instruction. The players can wear an armband and football will remember the fallen as they do every single year on the Saturday and Sunday closest to the 11th.
I guess randy...but if they can wear an armband they can wear a poppy sewn on the shirt. That's just my opinion and I respect others opinions.
As a Scotland supporter I don't care about the points that are deducted I care about remembering those who lost their lives fighting for us - 2 of my great uncles sadly lost their lives doing this.
Just an observation as to why FIFA has banned the wearing of poppies. Maybe they just don't understand the meaning of honouring the dead of wars, after all the current President Gianni Infantino was born in Switzerland. His predecessor Sepp Blatter was also born in Switzerland and FIFA headquarters are in Zurich, Switzerland. The same Switzerland that hasn't fought a major war in 500 years.
