Freeview recording

I'm awaiting delivery of a Panasonic LCD TV with Freeview built-in and 2 scart sockets. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to connect up this new TV, my VCR, my DVD player and my existing Sony Freeview box so I can record a different Freeview channel to the one I'm watching. If it's possible to do this then do I need an aerial splitter box or can I just loop-through? I'm thinking I need to connect my aerial to the Sony box and scart the Sony box to the VCR (that takes care of recording Freeview?) but do I then loop-through the aerial from the Sony box to the VCR and loop-through from the VCR to the Freeview TV or do I not need to have the aerial going through the VCR (in which case I loop-through from the Sony box straight to the Freeview TV)? And finally I scart the VCR to the TV and also scart the DVD to the TV? Sorry that's a lot of questions but I'm getting myself very confused!

The two loop through scenarios you describe should both work. However, the only reason to connect the aerial to the VCR would be for recording terrestrial channels since all digital channels can be recorded via the SCART.

If you do not require this then you can bypass the VCR and loop through to the TV.
