I bought my daughter a Philips Satinelle Message epilator as she loves her legs to be very smooth. She has tried this but says her legs still feel stubbly and not as smooth as when she shaves them. Has anyone else had this trouble or is she doing something wrong, she uses it going in an upwards move from the ankle up with the massage part facing upwards. Love to hear comments. Thanks.

hair has something like 3 different growing phases so she will have to do it a couple of times before she gets the smoothness. I ran mine over my legs everyday for like the first week I got it, now I do it every 5 days or so just to grab the new ones as they come through.

You should also use it in different directions cause hair grows in all directions.

As Goodsoulette has said, hair grows in stages, so although she can use it one night and be hair free, the next day, the hairs she didn't pull will just be growing through. It's the same as when you go to get your legs waxed, you're supposed to leave it for ages, so that as much hair as possible will be showing through and be pulled. Tell her to keep at it, after a few weeks there will be a few rogue hairs that'll pop through in between uses, but not so many that others would notice, in fact I just pluck one or two here and there in between with tweezers. I don't think I would go back to shaving now.
