Well, will i grow anymore...?
Hi Lacroix! I'm 5'11'', but stopped growing when I was 15/16 (my friends did too). xxx
Growing taller is one of the first external signs that a girl is experiencing puberty.
Kicked off by hormones, the growth spurt is closely related to the arrival of periods. Once the ovaries are mature, the legs have generally finished growing. Any increase in height after periods have begun, usually comes just from the torso. A general rule is that a girl will grow no more than 6cm ( two and a half inches approx,) after her first period.

By 14, on average, the spine has also finished growing. Lastly, the bones of the pelvis widen and become smooth, in preparation for childbirth. This can occur up to the age of 18 or even later.

I was 5 foot 11 at sixteen but have shrunk a bit now !!
goodness, shaney, I've kept right on growing. Just not up.
Lol Jno...I know the feeling !
Mine was not only up ..but out also !!
I was 5ft8 at 12 and have grown half an inch since then (I am 27 now). Often those who are tall at a young age stop earlier. I just wish I was the 7st7 i was then too : (

I was 6'ft at about 16 and didn't grow upwards anymore but filled out now about 12 1/2 stone.
Girls have usually reached their adult height by 18yrs on average, boys usually 21yrs. If you measure a childs height at 2yrs old, it is on average half their adult height, I kid you not.

5' 9" at 14 and only grew another inch after that

Now back to 5'9" Shrinking with age and arthritis!!

It's true that boys who shoot up at an early age often stop growing young as well, and their shorter peers who have a later growth spurt go on to be much taller. Girls grow are often are almost their maximum height at the age of 12/13.

I like to think I'm of average height (the only one here)......5ft 5.
