I was going to say broomstick, but that's too many letters.

Hi Jackdaw thanks for your response. I was thinking alone those lines myself as in " New Broom" sweeps clean. Perhaps something that sounds like/rhymes with broom that is a mode of transport. Cannot thing of anything though at the minute. Frustrating!

Hi yet again Jackdaw. Just seen your answer Brougham which looks perfect to me. I was typing up my first reply as you were posting that. It fits perfect with my line of thought. Never heard of it before though and don't think I would have accidently come upon that spelling with Broom. Thanks much again for the help much appreciated this time on a Monday morning!
