Mazie, my Mum had a Pink Witch bicycle. It had a basket on the back and I was so tiny then, I used to ride in the basket when we went shopping!
Tilly, I still have a Triang girls bike in my loft.
Mamya, I used to do the string art. I made a rather large picture of an oil lamp in silver and gold on a black felt covered board. My parents loved it and it hung on a wall for quite a few years, till it became dated I guess.
mikey, my sister had a spirograph. I loved it and I'm sure my Mum loved it too, as it kept me quiet for hours.
I also loved the spacehopper. Nobody could beat me on it. I was very fast!
One year I got a kaleidoscope, which I've still got. They're really beautiful things. They should bring them back. Kids today are far more arty than my generation were. I was always considered weird by my peers. I'm just eccentric is all!
Talking of presents past..what are we all getting our loved ones this year?

(Me...I've knitted everyone a scarf and customized some scarf pins and made ear warmers(head bands to go with them) I hope everyone likes the choice of yarn.)

I've sent Marmite to my SiL in NYC
WOW Sir A, your Mum had taste, you can't beat a Pink Witch xxx
Youngest Grandson - an upgrade set of Walkie Talkies, books, clothes etc.

Granddaughter - PomPom Book and maker + accessories and lots of bright wool to make them, clothes etc.

Two eldest Grandsons - Money as it has been for a couple of years and how they prefer it.
When I was 14 I got my first full size bike, drop handlebars 12 speed gears the full monty. I did 1000's of miles on that old Raliegh even using it for 2 years after I passed my driving test untill I could afford the car off my dreams, a D reg MGB roadster.
I've made lots too, Mazie.....for the tots I've knitted lap blankets for when they're in the car seat. I've put pockets on and attached little toys and books that fit in the pockets but won't drop on the floor when taken out....

For my retired and galavanting friends I've made jewellery travel pouches on a drawstring.....a pretty pattern I saw on Pinterest I think....

I've had some fun things done by a lady in the village....but as a certain aber is getting one for his birthday I won't say what......☺
