i have good dental hygiene (brush twice a day, use an antibactierial mouth wash, have recently started flossing) but over the past week or so the gums of my bottom front teeth have been extremely sore. i have also noticed that they look really low and am worried about how much lower they can get before my teeth get wobbly! my dentist is on indefinate sick leave and the replacement can't see me until the end of the month but it is really hurting! what can i do?! also i'm a non smoker and don't like fizzy drinks. help!

Go to a chemist or Boots and get a bottle of Corsodyl mouthwash, the minty flavour is better than the original. This mouthwash is antibacterial and helps with gum problems and healing. Gargle with it a couple of times a day after you have brushed your teeth and whilst having the mouthwash in your mouth stick your tooth brush in and brush gently around the gums where it's sore.
This should help you, good luck
