If you have children ( little ones) I would recommend Bulgaria as its so clean and safe ( sunny beach) Turkey is amazing too.... I travelled to Bodrum and Gumbet, both withing throwing distance of each other , so 2 for the price of one ! Really does depend on what your looking for though . Bulgaria resorts tend to be real flat in terms of hills etc, Turkey in particular Bodrum and Gumbet are quite hilly( i mention this as me dad is disabled and I know stuff like this can be important to some people.
Enjoy wherever you decide to go ....
About 15 years since I was at Bulgaria.I imagine the restaurants have improved immensely since then. I do remember beautiful beaches BUT the sea was at times deadly, lots of undercurrents. There was coloured markers letting you know how far it was safe to venture. So if children are involved, then i'd plump for Turkey. Never beeen there but the sea will be safer
