Any ideas please. We have third of a tub of Celebrations, half a box of M&S biscuits etc. We would rather not eat any more but do not want to throw away.
Would it be ok to put bits in plastic zip lock bags for the food bank or is that not suitable?
As thoughtful as it is, I doubt they would take it. The foodstuff could have been tampered with (not suggesting that you would do that, but some odd bods might think it's funny).
Food banks are really really choosy on what they take. Strange but true ..... we tried to give our Harvest Festival produce to them but they would only take certain tinned goods.
Save them for the birding, Jake.....you never know.....one of the group may just be a chocolate addict.........mentioning no names......but it's not Dave....... ;-)
Thank you all for the answers. Interesting to read about food bank rules but I can see it makes sense. I will take goodies to the volunteer centre where I do gardening - sorry gness!
That's good, Jake....glad they won't be wasted and will be appreciated.
At one of the apartments I rent for holidays a charming homeless man stays nearby. We give him the food and drink we've not used......he's chuffed and we get a hug.....x
