OK, some ideas (including basics)

Sound turned down on remote which now has flat batteries

Scart Lead not seating properly or is damaged

Buttons on front of TV (sometimes behind little flap down panels) have accidentally been pushed
(them pesky kids!)

And finally, TV knackered !
