Avg Scan

Downloaded the 30 day free trial of AVG earlier on to new laptop. At 10pm it started an internet security scan. Its now 11.40 and still scanning. Is this normal?

If you want to uninstall avg. Again k on windows logo or hit the windows key.
Click on the cog icon
Type uninstall into the box that says find a setting. Choose add or remove programmes.

@TWR......Got your message. You are using Windows Defender which is basically Microsoft Security Essential. I use MSE ad whilst there are some folk who regard it as being 'down market' it has served me well for many years on my Desktop PC and Laptop.

you shouldn't have to have a free trial of AVG, just get the free version.

jno, my mate accidently put it on, meant to get the free version but clicked the 30 day trial 'better' version by mistake.

Good advice to anyone Nails @ 1913,, and when you can give it to yourself, priceless. I am going to have an early night myself. Got book 2 of the Moontide Quartet to start "Scarlet Tides". Drive myself mad,I am reading 3 different novel series at the mo. Catch you tomorrow "ma mate" .
