And she hasn't even opened her mouth yet !
What an asset Mrs May is to Britain....the cause of a 20% drop in the value of Sterling.

An attempt to inject humour into the thread. Excellent, - it is all to easy to get too serious about things.
But why keep it just to the Tories? Let's make it cross-party and then we can all have a good laugh. I'm still trying to make up my mind where "The Pound is OK with us" would go in the list. Would it be above or below "This will not affect the pound in your pocket"?

Oldred....just above the "NHS is safe with us"
Some people on here have a very short memory. I was in California on holiday, in 1992, when a previous Tory Chancellor gave us "Black Wednesday"....a certain Norman Lamont.
The effect for us was that all our credit card bills that we had amassed in America suddenly grew hugely on our return home, precisely because of his mismanagement of our economy and the consequent devaluation of the Pound.
So you see, the Tories have form where the plummeting pound is concerned.

Yes Mikey. A result of our disastrous adventure into the ridiculous European Exchange Rate Mechanism. That bold experiment, you will remember, was a precursor to the Single Currency. Nobody learned from its outcome; the euro was still launched despite shambles that was the ERM and dire warnings of its likely shortcomings and the rest, as they say, is history.
It was not a party political issue. Had the Labour Party been in power at that time I doubt they would have done anything differently. All politicians of the major parties were (and to a certain extent still are) in total thrall to the EU. It could do no wrong; the future was the EU; everything the EU said and did must be good; ergo, any opposition to the EU must be bad. Well, in the intervening 25 years it has been shown that the EU has been nothing but an unmitigated disaster for millions of people across Europe. So please, let’s not lay the blame for those disasters on any particular UK politicians or parties. As far as the EU goes they are all the same (bar UKIP, of course). Well they’ve been dismissed as far as that particular project goes and it’s time to look forward to something different which might, just might turn out to be far better than you expect.

Unless Mikey is earning a fortune at the mo and doing very well under EU rule, but very much doubt that (judging by constant hysteria and hatred).

Yep, the decent people of this great nation need something different. Labour, who claim to be the 'working mans' (and ladies) party were all lies and are totally useless, so it is time for a radical change. It really can not be any worse.

You are so predictable. When I posted I had already drafted your reply in my own mind as I guessed that you would miss the point that I was creating a humorous response with a gentle dig in it. I just knew that you wouldn't be able to resist the chance to have another go at the Tory party.
