If you haven't got any apps on your smart phone .. its'a bit like having a car with no wheels. Your phone is capable of a great deal more than you are using it for. Go onto Play Store from ypur phone and have a look at free step counters. Download and install one, then have a wander round the house. Let me know how you get on with setting it up. Someone gave me one of those for Christmas (a little mini one that clips onto your clothes). She`s avidly waiting for me to set it up and sync it with hers but it`s still in it`s box. I don`t think they are very accurate but I`m going to have to give it a go otherwise she will be a bit insulted that I am not interested.
Tilly...I'm guessing that if you have a Samsung phone,you may already have a google account. I know when I got mine,it was almost a requirement. There should also be pre-installed apps.
I have the fitbit Charge HR...I've had it about a year, but I'm thinking of getting a different model. Last year's Charge had a few design problems...mine developed a crack where the charger plugs in...then a portion of the plastic broke off. I gather such issues have been corrected in the new models.
