The 75th anniversary programme is coming up on Sunday 2th January.Who have the BBC chosen as the castaway, why its non other than Englands most overrated footballer David Beckham.Surely a more interesting guest could have been found.
I will be listening - I would anyway
Whats not to like - former England Captain, One of Fergies fledglings, globally recognized superstar and a man with near perfect bone structure!
They've had a lot worse on
Now, I might be wrong, but could there be a hint of the green eyed monster here
Sorry to correct you Vulcan 42 but please read this. One of the most remarked broadcasts was Elisabeth Schwarzkopf's 1958 selection of seven of her own recordings. This record was subsequently beaten by British pianist Dame Moura Lympany on her second appearance on the programme on 28 July 1979 when all eight of her selections were of her own recordings. No jealousy from me Ric Ror just do do not understand the interest in a multi tattooed overrated footballer.
Beckham is an fairly benign chap. The kids like him, although I will leave it others to comment on his football record.
I think we should cut him some slack here. He can't be any more vacuous that some guests on this program have been for the last few years. It might encourage young people to change radio stations away from wall-to-wall mindless pop.
