Hi ive been given a sony dvd player and surround sound. I've set it up and its working great but i just wondered if there was a way i could play my sky and amazon firestick throught the surround sound. Thanks in advance

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Your Sky box and your Amazon Firestick are, obviously, connected to your TV. You can't connect either of those devices directly to your home theatre system but you can connect your TV's sound output to it, achieving the desired result.
Exactly how you do that though will depend on what type of sound outputs are available on your TV set. If you've got red and white phono output sockets available, you can connect them directly (using a cheap lead, available from many 'discount' stores). Similarly, if you've got a standard 3.5mm headphone jack on your TV you can use that. (Poundland can sell you a lead).

Haha Miysy, I have just logged in and had a quick look at your post. I was off to bed as you asked your question and am glad that you have been sorted. Just a tip. It may entail accessing the sound menu on your tv after the leads are done, and you may have to have the dvd on when using surround sound on periphery equipment.
