I reckon the beautiful Michelle Keegan acts as well as she looks. She makes the rest of the cast appear amateur, including the guy playing (but not resembling) Bobby.
The feel of the period is well recreated, partly thanks to some cracking Sixties hits. It's not as compelling as Cilla starring Sheridan Smith was, but it's watchable...largely thanks to the divine Miss MK. But then Keegan always was a football superstar
Can't help but cringe at thought that it must be just a matter of time before there's a similar series entitled Victoria & David. But that won't end with England winning the World Cup....or indeed anything
It was excellent and Michelle Keegan has well proved herself as a fine actress. What made me laugh though was the joy and delight when she saw her - what would now be - a normal semi detached house, she thought it was a palace, and a far cry from how footballers live now ...
Michelle Keegan is brilliant in it, but she is brilliant in anything she has been in including Our Girl and Corrie, loving it so far, love the nostalgia of it, all the music, cars, clothes, I also liked Cilla, that was good too, Sheridan Smith another brilliant actress, looking forward to the next two episodes.
