Driveway

I noticed this morning my driveway at the edge of the house has very bad green moss.

Anybody tell me what to buy - it is pretty unsightly.

do you pour the jeyes on raw ie not diluted. God my power hose is in the shed - at the bottom of the pit.

May get a guy from the local paper.

Oh, Conne.....don't be putting chemicals on moss....embrace it....it's beautiful and home to so many beneficial insects....love your moss!.....☺

ok gness - I am hopeless re greenery but do know a friend of mine would not tolerate the moss. It is quite nice - probably would take a nice photie.

I know some folk can't be doing with moss, Conne....but it's lovely really and so much better than any chemical......look at it closely.....fascinating.....x

It may be fascinating but on a path or driveway in the winter when it gets wet or icy it becomes a lethal mixture of vegetation and slush. Dead easy to go base over apex on it. There's plenty of places where you can let it grow without creating a hazard.

Jeyes Fluid will certainly deal with it but it's a bit violent. Even diluted it may stain your drive (depending what it's made of). There are plenty of proprietary moss killers available which will do it in quite swiftly.

Sprinkle washing soda crystals on it when it is just damp. Dirt cheap and works a treat.

I must agree with New Judge there is an alley near me covered in moss I was like bambi going down it ,very slippery x

Many garden centres sell spray bottles of moss remover for driveways. You just spray it on, leave it for a while, then sweep it off with a stiff broom.
