Has something changed?

I hit 'home', enter a search topic, it pops up into a new window in the top left (rather than in the middle where it usually does its thing) than just sits there and does nothing. I have to open a new window to get it to do anything.
What's ......Going .....On!!?

It's been doing that for a long time AP. I still have the box in the middle, but as soon as I start to type it goes to the box at the top. It still works though!

Doesn't pop up a new window on mine, but does seem to switch to the URL box, presumably because it seems to perform a dual function these days. Is the pop up new window thing a browser setting, or browser related ?

Or maybe, since yours is causing trouble, you have malware ? Worth a scan to rule that out.
