Company car insurance
I have 6 years no claims and may be about to get a company car... will I have to go back to 0 yrs no claims if I go back to private ownership after a spell of driving a co. car??

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.when you want to go back to insuring your own private car you will need to get a letter from your company on letterheaded paper saying you have had sole use of their car from (date) to (date) and no claims were made & no accidents recorded. some companies will not let you add this to your private ncb & just use the company car experience as ncb as they have to take the most recent. others will allow the full entitlement- it depends on the company (ones that will are norwich union & groupama & royal sun alliance).
also- if you dont have company car for that long you may not need to bother as most companies exept ncb that has not been used for upto 2 yrs & some upto 3 yrs.
