How long are so called 'Funeral Songs' supposed to be? By this I mean the piece where everyone says they want a certain song played at their funeral, like for Princess Diana it was Candle In The Wind, and loads of people want Angels by Robbie Williams... I know I'm only 17, but my favourite songs are Simon and Everything, both by Lifehouse, and both clocking in at six minutes!!! Surely that's too long for a funeral song!!! I know I'm young, but you never know when you're going to pop ya clogs!

You think you've got a problem, I want "Stairway to Heaven" and "Freebird". They might get a sore arse but at least they won't fall asleep !

Haha yeah! Freebird is a classic. Nothing beats the 14 minute version they did on Old Grey Whistle Test years ago! Still trying to find a video of that on Kazaa or something!
Good choice of songs! It is gonna be your funeral so it is your choice how long the songs are. These are two songs that couldnt be cut down as every lyric is essential.
They usually play them right at the end of the funeral - and someone from the family usually gets up and starts to make their way outside. and people follow as and when they want to.
