This nonsense reminds me of those daft stories that were very popular in the 50's an 60's, where it was predicted that we would all be flying around in our own personal helipcopters.

If a driverless train develops a fault, it stops and you're inconvenienced.

If a driverless drone develops a fault it too will stop. Therein lies the problem.
