I read/heard somewhere that you shouldn't eat more than one banana per day, but I can't remember why... does anyone know?

My mum eats LOADS of bananas & she`s 86 so they can`t be that bad for you. Lol
...well they can be fattening to some people because they contain a lot of starch (more starch than sugar) so if you are that way inclined stick to maybe the one a day theory.
Bananas contain quite a bit of potassium, maybe it has something to do with that. Can't say I ever heard that you should only eat one a day though.
Tennis players seem to get by on more than one a day.

Excellent food for you.....but as already mentioned more calorific than other fruits......Not that that should worry you...you must be as light as a fairy!

Never heard that one though, but then even the "experts" change they minds willy nilly!
I hope thats not true I eat a banana everyday, great for an energy boost!!

I find bananas give me a headache if I eat them too close to 'that time of the month', something to do with the potassium or something!
