Great Expectations Not
13 Answers
I have a powered wheelchair and today I went for a ride with my Sprocker Puppy as we approached there were a Group of a Dozen cyclist who were blocked the road which Is quite narrow as I was almost upon them I honestly expected them to make way for me to pass NO I ended in the middle of the group, this were all dress in the riding gear ,dark Glasses, Hundreds of pounds worth of bikes,it is beyond belief ,when Ellie I are out on the Roads and Lanes & we see traffic coming we ALWAYS stop Ellie jumps on my lap & I make room for Cars ,Horses etc to pass should I have had such Great Expectations that I could have the same respect .
As a matter of interest yesterday I was involved in a serious incident when my wheelchair hit a Pothole, which ended with me hitting the Tarmac breaking my glasses, cutting my leg and sustaining facial & back injuries ,to be frank this was obvious to anyone who saw me today ,I am disgusted beyond words I can muster .I promise if you ever see me on the RD or in the Lanes we will make way for you x x

If you were going faster than them, just keep going faster than them and overtake them.
"this were all dress in the riding gear ,dark Glasses, Hundreds of pounds worth of bikes,it is beyond belief " what has the price of their bikes or what they were wearing have to do with anything? How much did your wheelchair cost?? is it relevant?
Lastly what's a sproker

We have problems with gangs of lycra cyclists who think they own the roads, a group were approaching a mini roundabout and ignored a car coming from the right, the driver turned right causing the lycra lads to crash into the bloke in front, rather like domino's, shame really, all those buckled wheels.
Bedknobs The cyclist were blocking the road (Country Lane ) which opens up to the site of a Well they we huddled together talking, the chaps on the outer circle saw me coming ,I really thought they would part to let me through,oh full speed with a storm force gale is 4 miles per hour ,My point regards to the dress code was these were not Children/teenagers this was an organised group ,as for the cost of my wheelchair it is provided by The N H S,my decency means that if I see you coming in either direction I WILL pull over so you can pass.that is good manners.
A Sprocker is a cross between Springer & Cocker Spaniel wonderful

This reminds me of a time some years back when I was out walking my dog and a group of young lads were blocking the path ahead with their bikes, just standing around talking and as I approached them, I heard one of them say 'don't move out of the way' as he looked at me - obnoxious little git, but luckily his mates were nicer and they did move to let me pass! A lot of folk out there have no manners at all Christopher ...
I think you put this down to experience Chris
I have had my stick kicked out from under me (" if you do that I will fall over" ) - been manhandled in an ATM queue on my blind side ( that really fightened me) - someone else dragged her pram over me as I sprawled on the pavement ( too busy to help ) dog licking my face....
honestly you just get on with life
[clearly these didnt happen on the same day]

ISLAY The Sprocker has a right to be recognised as a Spaniel, NOT a cross breed, mix breed, designer breed or mongrel, but as a SPANIEL. If that could be achieved then those that choose to could compete Sprockers in Working Gundog Trials under the title of AV (any variety) Spaniel. This is why RTSS was set up and is a vision we will continue to strive for.
Isley I was purely explaining where my puppy came from ,I am not bothered if she is crossed with a ten bob note, the fact that she is treated like the queen of sheba & greets people when they enter our home and is incredible aggressive when they leave is neither here nor there ,Its a pity she has not been able to find potholes before I end face down in them or groups of men in Lycra.
Thinking about it later, many years ago it was Mods & Rockers having a battle on Brighton Seafront I can now envisage Lycra wearing Cyclist v Disabled Folk in Wheelchairs, now that would be surreal.
