It's hard to say from that picture. It could well be a mink or indeed, another possibility, a stoat.

It's extremely cute whichever it is. I'd go for mink.

It was hissing & spitting, too wild for capture. It looked the size of mink, body 6+" with dark brown fur. Dogs were after it, so I locked them up & let it loose.

I'm in the Pine Marten camp on this one.
There has been some reintroduction programs lately, I guess this one has become misplaced.

The leaf looks like 'Cherry Laurel' to me. tulip tree has a notch on the tip.
