I used to but now I feel angry. Keep playing on Joe public's emotions all the time to line their own pockets! Don't get me wrong, I do feel very sorry but there is no need for this situation in the first place. There's plenty of money and food to help them in their own country more often than not. The powers that be should be helping them but alas greed takes over.

They thought they could look after themselves when they kicked the Europeans out, but they now find they can't.
not as simple as that, it doesn't help that western governments prop up despotic regimes all in the name of the
devil you know, like Mugabe, who put him in......

Pasty, my thought's to the "T"
I agree with Patsy.
do the charities pay for the TV ads? surely this money should go to the people in need
Question Author
I would think the cost of these ads are into the thousands of £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ Petal, & this is one issue that I often think about.
No, not even remotely but the one with the donkeys in almost breaks my heart.
Question Author
Your answer is the way I think Pasty, I will help anyone but these ads always come up a T.Time, & always on our sentiments, these people should be given birth control by their own gov, that would help in a big way. "Wait for it"
Africa is a vast continent with approx 50 countries ,some very rich and others riddled with poverty. Through no fault of their own many African countries have to contend with famine and disease. It's heartbreaking to see animals dying because the rivers have dried up and the sun has scorched the earth and burnt the grass. Worse still ,to see little children with swollen bellies having to suffer malnutrition and disease. No water because the rivers have dried up.No food because the crops have failed. It must be' Hell on earth' .They have no control over the extreme weather conditions. My friend is a nurse and she and some friends make two trips every year to Africa. They take medicines ,spectacles, pencils, exercise books and lots of other items. All gratefully received. So whilst I don't feel 'guilty', I do feel concerned .
