I have recently changed from W10 to a Mac computer, I cannot work out how to copy & paste, right mouse click does not appear to do anything. Can someone please help ?

are you highlighting what you want to copy paste? Right mouse click works on my mac

Yeah Woofgang I highlight then right click cancels the highlight.

The mouse has to be set up for Secondary Click. Go into settings (cog icon) click on mouse and tick Secondary Click box

Try highlighting the text and then press the apple key and the c key together to copy (apple and v to paste).

If you're still using a windows keyboard then try the windows key instead of the apple key.
