How is it that a projector can project black? As it cant be just leaving it out, as it would be the white of the screen and wouldnt be able to project dark blues etc.... And if it is just black, is it therefore actual black light?
As Father Ted once said....Never buy your socks from an ordinary shop...it's never proper black.....just really, really, really, really, dark blue...they shaft you ever time.
Ahhh, this is what i thought (ref: incitatus) however if you put your hand in the way, it still projects black onto your hand even if you go closer to the projector itself... and (Ref: stf42) then how would a bright light source make blue that dark o.O
but your hand is having the same effect. take a light meter or photoresistor, place it in the black bit, then turn the projector off. the reading will show that the blackis actually slightly brighter than the white of the screen with no projector on.
The LCD within it is blocking light from passing through at those points. It's not very good at doing so because of the strength of the light. Hence it not being a particularly good black
