Blood Test After Effects.

I have had many, many blood tests.

Following on today my arm is extremely tender and swollen, painful actually. The phlebotomist only tried once to find a vein yet I seem to have two punctures. There is a mild haematoma but I'm baffled as to why it is so uncomfortable.

I have a hot date tomorrow lunch time!

it should be calmer by tomorrow. i have had lots of blood tests and they usually go the next day.

if really worried or arm is worse suggest phoning the doc.

This is definitely abnormal and the discomfort is spreading up and down my arm, with tenderness and an unusual firmness that is totally new to me.

try and see/phone the doctor tomorrow, if desperate phone out of hours doctor.

If you really think something is wrong, though it is unusual then go and get checked over.

As you say it is probably a haemtaoma.
Take some Ibuprofen and it should settle you down.
No need to worry.
