Am I Pregnant

I had unprotected sex last weekend it was exactly 2 weeks after first day of period which i have been told is the best time to conceive? I was worried i might get pregnant and took the contraceptive pill the day after then the following day thinking that might work? i now have really heavy bleeding 3 days later does this mean i am not pregnant?? Please help!!

if you are bleeding then you are not pregnant. But honestly! don't they teach anyone anything re birth control at school nowadays? You took 2 days worth of pills ?? .... you may just as well have crossed your fingers, and jumped up and down afterwards ... after all they both mean you cant get pregnant .....

Not being funny here..but the amount of questions about the pill is seriously worrying me.

The packet comes with adequate instructions ~ yet people are still unsure as to when to take them.

Sometimes when you take the pill when its not due, this can make you bleed. i would just take a test if i was you so you can make decisions quickly.

I know pippa, that was exactly my point about inadequate sex education in the thread about the 11year old that became pregnant, it's simple enough yet no-one seems able to take pills correctly, but what worries me more is why people are having unprotected sex. I really drive this message home to my teenage kids, don't have unprotected sex.
Jess,if you catch aids being pregnant is the least of your problems, so please be careful.

It really worries me nox...and in a way it angers me as there is so much more information & access to contraception & education nowadays.

My mother is always going on about how difficult things were in the 60's (and before), and how she can't understand why people are still getting pregnant & STDs.

What the heck is going on?

sorry kazza12345 that isnt always the case,i had my daughter 2yrs ago and i had a period all way through,very rare though,as for you jess60 go to the docs for a test to put your mind as rest,good luck
