Create A System Repair Disc

I've tried to create a system repair disc, but when I try to start the process there is a message saying "The parameter is incorrect". I inserted a CD, then pressed "Create disc", but then I got the above message. Any of you clever techy types got any ideas? Thanks.

Going from memory I think you might need a DVD, not a CD.
