after removing crank pulley and covers you will find a mark on crank at 12 oclock. a mark on left hand cam at about 4 oclock. a mark on right hand cam about 8 oclock. in the pub by 9 oclock. its a piece of cake.
re kia shuma, thanks for that, are there timing marks on cylinder head around 4 and 8 oclock because i can see marks on the cams but nothing on the cylinder head.and i've not been to the pub yet !!!
yes, sorry of course the marks are on cylinder head and when all lined up the left cam mark will be at 4 oclock and right cam mark will be at 8 oclock. im not going to pub, just done a lovely la chasse du pape. very nice.
I am having the same problems with my Shuma! There is 2 marks on the cam pulleys one is a straight line (normally aligned at the top on engines such a sthe ecotech) and there is also a dot on each pulley?? Because the crank pulley has + 10 degrees marks i am not sure which is meant to be the actual timing mark before aligning the cam shafts on the lines or is it marks?????? Please help..........??
