does my body know?
3 Answers
I'm on the pill and usually go for 2 months without a break but I've started to notice that towards the end of the 3 week of pills I get PMS-y, emotional, moody etc even though I start the next pack immediately. I don't get the physical side like bloating or sore breasts however, which makes me wonder if my body knows that it's the natural time for my period or maybe it's all pyschosymatic and I'm just imagining it.
In short, do women get PMS-y symtoms every 3-4 weeks regardless if they're on the pill or not?

My doctor told me it was a specific vitamin b6 shortage so I started taking the vitamin in the week before my period would have started - last week of old pack - but not all the time as it says on the packet. It worked for me, but I'm not a doctor - you'll need to check it out.
Hi Morrisonker, I do the same as you and only have periods every 2 months and it's really strange because I noticed the last two times that like you I get the PMS symptoms of foul mood and snappy but nothing else related to it. And I was thinking the exact same thing as you whether my body knew.
Funnily enough someone on here recommended B6 for Mosquito bites to me and I bought a jar the other day and when I got them I read up on the benefits on google and it said that in the last 35 years B6 has been used to help with PMS especially in those who are taking oral contraceptives. So I'm going to continue to take them and see if there's any change next time I'm due.
