I know politicians have never been trustworthy, but the blatant breaking of promises recently is astounding. How can TM and her crew say "No, we've changed our minds on those promises we made to get us elected. We're doing the opposite now."
I know Labour have been almost as bad in the past, but TM has no shame.
Let's see what they come up with over the next few weeks. I won't believe a word of it.
Douglas, are you seriously suggesting that honest, upright, upstanding politicians, for whom the welfare of the country and its people is paramount, might have a tendency to tell porkies?
I would remind the honourable gentleman at 08:31 of the scientifically proven fact that, if a politician is seen with lips moving, no truth will result.
The only exception is the drawing of the last breath (when verified by two doctors).
Cloverjo, Nothing to do with promises made in the past. This is a new election giving the electorate the opportunity to accept or reject what’s on offer now.
TWR, perhaps those living by the sea will be given special concessions on flood insurance. ;o)
//I think people who have homes near coastal places should pay for the pleasure of looking at the sea//
We already do TWR, we live right on the Seafront and pay a lot more in C/Tax etc than someone living in a Two up, Two down in the centre of some dismal Northern Town!
