I’ve read up on this, but would appreciate any personal experiences. How did it manifest and what treatment was suggested or offered?

The child in question is five but since this syndrome is not universally acknowledged, I have my doubts that the diagnosis in this instance is accurate.

I hope someone with direct experience sees this , you do get flip answers even in this topic.
There's a Documentary on at this moment (BBC 1)about a boy named Jaco - and his experiences with autism.
Sorry if I come over as flippant but I cannot abide phrases like, "We are all on the spectrum". Clearly autism is a problem for those who are afflicted but that is no reason to tar everyone with the same brush. It's just a cop-out to make the speaker look clever and make the listener feel guilty for no reason.
There is no tarring involved - some struggle with autism but often it can be seen as a gift. I am not clever or better than anyone else but responses like those on the previous page are useless to any sensible debate.

Sigh!
Good night Jack.

Naomi, I hope you get some answers and the young one thrives.
