First day of school holidays and a rumble of thunder...............
To add to the misery, I should be on a plane to Barcelona for a girl's weekend away, but couldn't go because of my stomach op.

Not going to Barcelona is definitely a bit of a bummer. I'm fit enough, it's just that I can't try meat or bread until next week, all food has to be a certain consistency and my portions are tiny meaning I have less energy, so there's no way that I can be drinking all night, keeping up with the others.

I don't mind thunder myself, I just thought I could have a couple of days relaxing in the garden after some stressy weeks at work. I also thought I'd try to acclimatise my skin for when I go to Greece in July.

I haven't really been in the sun since last year. I haven't burnt though. Having ginge with me means I always have sun block with me.

I burn quite easily, probably not as bad as Ginge, but not too far off. I thought, if I can get a little colour before going it'll save my skin going into meltdown with rashes when I get there. Oh well, buggarall I can do about it.

Hmmm... just had to rush out here and rescue the steamer chair cushions, etc. and there was a sudden cloudburst. I should have twigged it was imminent as I've only recently turned the light on, as it was getting dark.
