Worried About Going To London
27 Answers
Myself and my husband are due to go to London a week on Friday to see a concert Friday night, then fly back up on Saturday. I am really worried about going with everything that's been happening...
Everything is paid for, so we can't "not go", but in the same vein I cannot stop worrying about it in case anything happens to us when we are down there.
Irrational? Perhaps?
Just saying...

We quite often go to theatres, concerts, cinemas, restaurants, etc in the centre of town and we won't stop doing that. I also don't recall people changing their behaviour in London during the 70s and 80s when the IRA was active. As with any big city it's advisable to keep your wits about you.
I worked in London throughout the IRA bombings, and have been down a couple of weeks ago. Think about it logically there are millions of people there. The odds are it won't happen to you. Be alert, but enjoy yourself. If you can afford it take taxis rather than the tube. That is probably the worst place to be if a bomb goes off as the blast only has two directions to go rather than in an open space.
