I've just driven past my polling station and it seemed really busy, so much so that I wondered if there might be an exceptionally high turnout for this election.

There's been quite a bit of excitement that maybe it will be a fairly high turnout, especially among younger voters. I'm not sure it will amount to much in the end, but a higher turnout is always better.

I live just 50 yds from our polling station,I can see it from my front door, turn out has been very low. More like a local council poll than a general election.

When I voted earlier this morning....about 11:00 I think, 130 people had already voted But most people would have voted late this afternoon and on wards for a while yet.
