I found a dead duck at the foot of our drive way this morning.

I have temporarily hidden him in a bin bag so as not to upset the kids.

Would you bury it or pop in the general waste wheelie bin? Sounds insensitive, but I need to do something with it!!

Not tired and shagged out after a long squawk but totally cream quackered.
When any of my chickens die they are deposited in undergrowth in the nearby woods.

I'm always nervous that a dog might find them and come running out with a fully feathered chicken to the dog owners consternation!
pluck it and freeze it, might come in handy for sticky thigh problem :-)
seems sensible to put it in several black bags, tie it up tight so no foxes can get at it and dispose of in the bin.

Triple bagged and in the bin, collection is Monday and the temperature has dropped so hopefully minimal smell!

Not the nicest of ways to go out, but I am sure he is doing well in the big pond in the sky!

that's a lovely way to look at it. :-)
Big Pond I mean.
one rat to his partner in jd_1984's vicinity, 'is it my imagination or can you smell duck?'
