I have just invented the word "misremember", meaning to think you have remembered something only to discover that you have got it completely wrong!
Does anyone think it could be useful?

I suppose it's no worse than 'misspoke', a favourite of Hillary's when she meant lying through her teeth.
Raccoony misremembered inventing it some time ago.
As the prefix 'mis' simply means 'wrongly' I suppose it can be added before any verb.

When little my son once shivered so badly it frightened him......he said his skeleton was rattling......

So our new word for a sudden shiver became....skrattle......x
I haven't got a new word to add to the list but when we have the leaving party the other day it reminded me of when I was small and Mum and Dad were out to a do - I heard them discussing the night and thought they'd joined some sort of cannibalistic cult.

Yes - they said there would be a 'Finger buffet'.
And you were really hoping they hadn't treated you to some left overs, Mamya?.... :-)
Well I did worry for a while.
During a maths exam a pupil asked me if she could use her....
count you later.........showing me her calculator......I loved the new word..... :-)
That's perfect.
I remember Soccer AM inventing the word "bouncebackability".
Something we all aspire to Dave.
To me 'miss-remember ' means a young German student -teacher at grammar school in 1961!
My suggestion of the word....Answerbunker..(Person who talks rubbish in AB)appears to have been rejected.

However, perhaps I am permitted to submit a further word which would refer to removed answers.........Answerbonked.

Hans.☺☺☺
