The thing is Scoop, Labour councillors are losing cushy numbers because Corbyn can't get the storm trooper mobs, and internet trolls in action at local elections, like happened in the G.E. so they want him garotted.

If the recent events of the last few weeks are concerned, then Corbyn seems to be the best thing that has happened to the Labour Party, since the last best thing !

People have realised that he isn't the bogeyman that the Tories and their lickspittal friends in Fleet St would have us believe he is. There is a very real reason to think that he will be in Number Ten before very long.

Lickspittle journalists aside, Corbyn’s supporters outside the political world clearly don’t understand his brand of politics - even though it is actually hitting them in the face right now. Neither party comes across smelling of roses and Labour might have ridden high on the election result but I think it is more to do with a poor Conservative campaign.

I just wish they would all wind their necks in and just get on with doing the best for the country rather than personal agendas dressed up as something else entirely.

I mentioned this to a couple of Labour Councillors of my acquaintance, tonight.
They seemed to confirm my assessment that this is no threat to Corbyn at all.
They have not been fans of Corbyn until the General Election, when they suddenly realised that Corbyn (and themselves) could win under an old socialist banner.
Rather than alienating the Labour Councillors, the GE result rejuvenated them. They now realise that Corbyn is not toxic, and old Labour is not dead. And they are very happy about that because many local councillors are definitely old Labour.

So in conclusion, if a rule change did give councillors 4 votes instead of 2 in a 30 vote NEC, then it would probably strengthen Corbyn, not weaken him.
