Runner Beans

Hi - growing runner beans again this year, lots of white flowers, but to date no sign of any beans.
They were late starting last year, but we wondered if its the weather conditions, despite spraying them with fine water regularly. Is it down to the weather again?? Many thanks. MonicaK

This year has been the driest for over 40 years , at least in my region North Herts.
You need to really soak them right down to the roots with water, not just a fine mist, that evaporates before it gets anywhere near the roots!

Mine haven't even produced flowers yet.
Will give them a deeper soaking and see what happens.
