We live in a hard water area and our showerhead keeps getting clogged up. It's chrome and we've been advised not to use chemical cleaners. Any suggestions?
Try unscrewing the showerhead and soaking it in ordinary malt vinegar overnight. This should remove most of the limescale and any left over can be sponged off.
Bit late to respond but your thread flashed up when I was trying to post another question. We have the same problem. I keep a large needle in the bathroom and every so often I pour some Limelite limescale cleaner on the head, leave for a few minutes, rinse and then pick out the clogged up holes with the needle. If you don't want to use a limescale cleaner, just use the needle once a month.
