xmas cake

Can anyone tell me if xmas cake will still be ok to eat,how long does it last?Its still moist,had months with alcohol poured in it before xmas and looks ok,just wondered,thanx!

It will last and last. I have some going on 3 yes three years and is still delicious, the same way it tasted when it was just made. i think the alcohol preserves it. i have some in the freezer and some in the refridgertor.

Yes it will still be lovely,in fact all the better for keeping.The ingredients are well preserved with the added alcohol.Sometimes the icing will discolour if you have iced it but it will still be safe to eat.Could just eat a slice now as I love rich cake.

If you're still not sure if it's safe to eat, just wrap it in a plain brown paper parcel and post it to me - I'd be delighted to try it for you!!!! But don't tell ANYONE, cos I'm on a lo-carb diet and ChrissyCake is definitely banned. Moan, sob, whine...

ooh what a kind offer but i wouldnt do that to you,no i'll suffer it myself and let you know how disgusting it was with all that cream/ice-cream oozing off it!!!! lol
