I have bought a tin of polyfilla ceiling paint. On tin it recommends using a foam roller. Neither B7Q or Wickes have foam rollers, or only the small ones which are no use for a ceiling. Any suggestions as to the best alternative to the recommended foam roller? Also are large foam rollers still available? Many thanks folks.

Hi percyveer, I bought some 9 inch foam rollers on Amazon recently. I had tried Homebase without any luck.

Many thanks sapelesam. Amazon it is then first thing tomorrow.
Good luck with your ceiling, I've been painting a flat for the last week and I don't really want to wash another roller ever again.
Don't wash them out every night. I just wrap them in tin foil, you can then use them 2-3 days without washing them.
Not when you are doing a new colour every day.
Ah I see Saple, thought we were talking white ceilings.
Percyveer was, I've had a week to paint every wall and ceiling in a three bedroom flat. Two different ceiling paints, four rooms with feature walls, she who must be obeyed is the interior designer.

Thanks for the responses. Just ordered the rollers from Amazon. You have my sympathy sapelesam. One ceiling is plenty!
get an extendable pole or put the roller holder onto a broom handle
And wear a shower cap.
You need to clear all the services and floor and lay dust sheets before you start to paint - love ummms idea of shower cap
