I have been with my present supplier British Gas for approx 50 years now and feel that I should probably need to change but at almost 80 yrs of age feel a it worried. I have switched twice during the last few years but have used the Big Switch and on both occasions it has beenwith Grit Gas. This new switch is with EDFwhich I have never heard of.. Has anyone got any advice which will be gratefully received.

EDF is one of the big energy suppliers - we've been with them for several years now and had no problems. We check prices each time our contract is getting near its end (we'll be checking very soon) and their prices always come out as being as cheap as any of the comparisons. They warn you when your contract is about to expire to give you plenty of time to look around - we've just had our nwarning that our current tariff ends at the end of October.
I moved about a year ago to OVO and am very pleased with them. Recommended by Which.
I think they only do internet contracts but I may be wrong.
Agree with bhg about EDF and no exit fees if you choose to leave them.
